​How to help
The best way you can help out this school year is to support your student. Make sure you ask them what they are learning about in different subjects, encourage them to talk to me if they have any questions or concerns, and emphasize the importance of staying on top of their homework and assignments.

Other ways to help
I will occasionally need volunteers to accompany us on field trips or help out with projects, donate food items for classroom celebrations, or donate different things for the classroom or projects. I will always communicate these things in my weekly emails.
Support our school
I believe it is important to be an active part of your school community. It is good for all of us to get to know each other, share stories, and to learn about one another. It makes for a very healthy, happy, safe, and supportive community. When our school has events, please make an effort to attend with your children. Events planned at our school are done with our community in mind, and they take a lot of hard work and planning.
Another way to support our school is by volunteering at school events and/or donating items or food for school events. When your child sees you becoming involved, they will see that you value school and they will learn how to become an active member of the community.

Book report- Start thinking about a book for a book report.

My plan is to offer a few different projects this school year for the students to learn about different subjects. I like projects because they give students the opportunity to create assignments in a more individualized, meaningful way.
Whether your student likes to write, type, work with their hands, be creative, talk, work on the computer, act, sing, etc., they can tailor their project to what works best for them.
